This way of "natural scrolling" is much smoother than that offered by AutoHotKey. I did not notice an immediate change when I did this, but when I launched the ELAN settings and toggled the reverse option now visible under two-finger scroll it started working. The keys you need to edit to enable natural scrolling are under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Elantech\SmartPad I used these to set reverse (natural) scrolling on the touchpad and disabled the TP while typing. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Elantech\SmartPad (enable even more settings in the UI and directly set the option values) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Elantech\SmartPadDispla y (enable setting visibility in the UI) Windows 8(.1)/10: Start -> Settings -> Devices -> Mouse & Touchpad -> Scroll down to Related Settings and click Additional mouse options -> When the mouse properties window pops up, click on the ELAN (or SYNAPTIC) tab -> select your device and click Enable. I do however not know if it is a synaptic or elan touchpad and hence do not know which driver to download. HP driver search does not give me an option for 8.1 only 10. I need to download the touchpad driver for my new Aspire V3-571G notebook. I installed a new Windows 8.1 pro for software I use that is not supported under Windows 10. Just wanted to let you know that you can download the "vanilla" Elantech drivers from: I Jave a new Pavilion 15z that came with Windows 10.
